ABOUT
My Bio
I am a self taught front end developer, designer, and digital creative with a deep love for building things that feel clear, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful. I started in video production, where I learned how people respond to story, emotion, and pacing. When I built my first website to promote my freelance video work, something clicked. I realized I cared just as much about how the site worked as I did about the content it held. That curiosity pulled me fully into the world of development.
Over the years I have built and maintained sites for small businesses, healthcare clients, and professional firms. I managed marketing for an architectural and engineering company while maintaining their three corporate sites, which taught me how to balance brand consistency, technical accuracy, and content clarity. Remote work gave me the space to grow, so I kept studying, experimenting, and sharpening my skills through courses and hands on practice.
My next chapter was at BitLathe, where I grew quickly under the mentorship of Cushing Whitney. Working in a small, innovation minded environment pushed me to think more critically, solve problems with intention, and care about both the technical and human sides of building digital products.
When the company dissolved, I stayed committed to learning. I took on personal projects, completed more coursework, and even explored iOS development for a broader understanding of modern software. That spirit of constant improvement has stayed with me.
For the past several years I have worked as a contract Web Developer for Sesame Communications and HostingCT, handling production work, website builds, accessibility improvements, and client requests. Over time my focus shifted toward strategy and UX, and in the past year I have been working more as a UX designer than a traditional web developer. This shift has strengthened my ability to think through user needs, evaluate experiences, and shape clearer, more intuitive solutions. Contract work taught me how to adapt, learn quickly, and deliver consistent results. Now I am ready for the next step. I want to be part of a team where I can collaborate, contribute more strategically, and help shape digital experiences with purpose.
At my core, I am someone who likes to make things easier for people. I enjoy helping users understand technology rather than fight against it, and I like being the person who helps clients and coworkers see their ideas come to life. I believe that great work blends clarity, empathy, and craftsmanship.
